Paypal and Payoneer no longer work in my country, so I can't get money from Ko-fi, Gumroad, Buymeacoffe and ComicAd (the ad banners here).
The only tip jar I have left is Boosty. It accepts Paypal, all cards, any currency, then it converts it into rubles and sends to me. Boosty works the same way as Patreon + accepts one-time donations like Ko-fi and allows selling ebooks.

This page has the same layout as Page_50 where Kalare (Maria's daughter) tells Elie about two sides of human mind. The main difference is that Kalare's lecture is light hearted, almost "magical", and Maria's is dark and down to earth. It's not that Kalare is "good" and Maria is "evil" (in fact they both only want the best for their people), it's about the way each of them sees the same world. I've been waiting for long time to make their pages "rhyme" like this.

I've always wondered about the differences in psychic powers.

It's not about psychic powers, it's just about humanity not being able to hack a certain type of brain and choosing an easier way (using boys as hosts) instead of persisting. It kind of backfired for Atlanteans.

Maybe this is just my pre-ice-age pre-ancients background showing, but when your rite of passage for half your citizens involves 5% of them going insane...eek. I guess that would make you more comfortable with psi-profile risk, though -- it's already just a part of life, if to a much lesser degree.

This 5% is why very few people ever decide to have a psi-profile in the first place. Most choose to learn things the old way. But having everyone learn the old way is not an option: with a civilization so small, it would just turn into a bunch of savage tribes over time without ancient knowledge.

Ah, that makes sense.
