Page 166 - Down the stairs
Tim follows his wife down the natural stairs made of horisontal basalt columns, to the little cave of the cable way station. Memories of recent events are flashing in his mind. The nightmare, the chase, the jump, the whole matter of leaving all his past life behind... These things look sickengly terrifying now as the adrenaline effects are wearing off.
